Holiday Cheer Around Our Home

Our new block advent calendar sits near the front door //
This would definitely be a favorite of the kids' this year. . .

I love decorating our bar cart for new seasons and occasions.  Because we won't be hosting any Christmas parties this year, it's a little weak at the moment.  But I do love the fresh cinnamon sticks on hand for a cup of warm apple cider or tea.  And then I just added some greenery from a recent trip to Trader Joe's.

I add in lots of (faux) fur accents this time of year.
This cozy pillow was recently added to my office chair.

Sequins, knits & a festive wreath in the master bedroom.

Ahhhh. . . the tree.  I'm so happy with the way it turned out.  Disco balls and pink - not your traditional Christmas colors but so much fun and nice change.  I draped some black & white stripe ribbon around the tree and trust me when I say it's even prettier in person.  It really pops next to the pastel ornaments.  And the sequin pillow covers add a little sparkle to these chairs in our living room.

We've never owned a tree skirt...I have no idea why but this year I was ready to change that.  However, when I was out shopping for one I thought they were a bit on the pricey side.  Maybe that's why we've never owned one?  And I really wasn't loving anything I saw.  So I picked up a yard of burlap fabric at the craft store and wrapped my tree stand in it.  A whopping $3 dollars later and I'm pretty happy.  I may add in some marbles or something to bulk it up but I'm in no hurry - I think it's pretty cute the way it sits now.

I've had these red velvet Pottery Barn stockings for years.  We actually have all of our names embroidered on the other side, I just decided to flip them around this year and hang glitter ornaments with our initial in front of them.  I also added some fresh garland above and it's just a really simple, but traditional look that I don't think I'll ever tire of.

And what's better than cozy nights at home with the Christmas tree lights on. . .
I just love this time of year and it's honestly 10 million times better with my kiddos.

We will actually be traveling over Christmas so I didn't go overboard
(as I normally would...) with decorating this year.

The tree is my favorite holiday piece in the house right now and I'm just loving the colors we did this year.  I've always stuck with gold, silver, and blues in years past and decided it was time for a change.  How about a pink Christmas?
Yes, I definitely think so.
Naturally, my 2 young daughters loved the idea as well so we went with it.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
